A Virtual Field Trip Learning about Halloween Celebrations Around the World is the perfect, no-prep activity for your students! Your students will learn about the origins of Halloween and how people in Ireland, China, Italy, Portugal, Mexico, the Netherlands, France, Italy, and Japan celebrate Halloween-- or celebrations similar in origin and tradition to Halloween.
Students will learn through factual information, photographs, read alouds, and videos.
Students will start their virtual field trip by building prior knowledge and making connections to the way they celebrate Halloween. Students will then learn about each of the countries listed above. Information about each country is accompanied by either a photograph, read aloud, or video to further illustrate or explain the information. A compare and contrast Halloween traditions and a comprehension check is offered at the end Virtual Field Trip.
