Phonics Club: Phonics & Interactive Reading Club
This reading club will focus on building phonological awareness skills, phonics and comprehension through high-interest read alouds! This club is is ideal for the reader who loves stories and readers who could use a little support with their phonics skills!
Phonological awareness skills are the highest predictor of reading success and are to be taught explicitly, with direct and sequential instruction. During this club your child will practice letter-sound correspondence, rhyming, blending, and segmenting words, counting syllables, learning and reviewing new sounds as well as listening and interacting with incredible stories!

Phonological Awareness Practice
Interactive Read Aloud (Comprehension)
**(Book list will be provided prior to the start of class, learners do not need a copy of the book but borrowing a copy from the library or purchasing the book is a great way to extend learning!)
This class will meet via Zoom on Tuesdaysat 5:30-6:00 EST on the weeks of September 15-October 20. Families will also provided a drive with additional extension activities and a PDF with online learning tips.
