Through 26 engaging modules—one for each letter and sound in the alphabet—your child will enjoy a mix of fun and educational activities. Each lesson is approximately 20 minutes long, perfect for keeping learners interested and focused! Why Choose This Class?

  • Highly structured

Our highly structured lessons are designed to set your child up for success! With clear expectations, engaging activities, and seamless transitions, each lesson keeps your child challenged and excited to learn. Short, focused activities make learning fun and manageable, helping your child stay motivated and confident every step of the way.

  • Systematic

Each lesson builds logically on the previous one to ensure a solid understanding before moving forward. By following a structured sequence, students master foundational reading skills—like letter-sound recognition, blending, and decoding—in a step-by-step way. This approach not only makes learning manageable but also reinforces essential skills, helping each student gain confidence and progress at a steady pace.

  • Interactive + Engaging

Making learning fun is kind of our thing. That’s why it’s called “The Phonics Party!”. We know how important it is to keep kids motivated, and our class is filled with fun visuals, movement, and engaging activities. And have you met Decoda the dog? If not, see below! She is sure to be your child’s new best friend!

  • Comprehensive

Even though our lessons are only ~20 minutes each, they are jam-packed with learning opportunities. Check out our section that outlines all of the activities and skills that our child will learn throughout the program.

With a combined teaching experience of more than 30 years, Stephanie and Liz have the strategies and tools to teach your child to read, AND to love the process!

What is the Orton-Gillingham approach?

The Orton-Gillingham approach is a proven method for teaching reading that aligns with the "science of reading," which is a body of research showing how our brains learn to read best. It uses a hands-on, multi-sensory approach, meaning it involves sight, sound, and touch to help kids learn letters, sounds, and words.

With Orton-Gillingham, lessons are structured in a very organized way, breaking down reading into small, manageable steps. Kids work on understanding the sounds in words, connecting sounds to letters, blending sounds together, and eventually reading words and sentences. Each lesson builds on what they’ve already learned, reinforcing and practicing skills so they feel confident before moving on.
